10) Jamaican Pride

Jamaica needs more pride!  They get to be boastful only a few weeks every 4 years. There is so much culture in the small island of Jamaica and the Jamaican people should share that culture with all parts of the world! Especially the colder parts!

9) Usain Bolt is the FASTEST MAN ALIVE

Usain is the fastest man that has ever walked the face of the earth.  Think about the thousands of truly great sprinters that we have seen throughout the years...and Usain is the fastest of the fastest. He shattered the current Olympic and world records:

8) Sprinters make the best bobsledders

The push start is a key element to the success of a bobsled team.  With Usain Bolt on the push start the bobsled team could be nearly unstoppable.  John Candy believes it... so I do too!

7) The Economy needs this... the US Economy and the World Economy!

 Could Usain Bolt single handedly save the governments across the world from the next great depression? I know he can.  The world need something to get excited in again. The world needs a heartwarming story to lift its spirits and root for!  I know it will take more than the fastest man in the world competeing on the 2010 bobsled team, but this is only #7 in the top 10! Read on!

6) Cool Runnings 2 - Movie Potential.

Cool Runnings (the original) grossed over 155 MILLON dollars worldwide with only a budget of 14 million.  Then you can add in another 29 million from Rentals and that was back in 1993 and you are over 184 MILLION dollars.  We didn't even mention the amount of DVD sales.  We are in the Hi-Def age now and the potential amount of money that can be made is endless. 

5) There is no current team planned for the Vancouver 2010 Olympics!

How can Jamaica expect to win when if they don't field a team!?   I understand their might be some logistical issues surrounding why there is no current Jamaican Bobsled Team, but with the power of the people across the world we can overcome those logistical hurdles and make the dream a reality. 

4) Take Jamaican Winter Sports to an unprecedented level

Jamaica is known for their outstanding summer Olympic athletes but, geographically speaking, it is not the best location for born and raised bobsledders.  It would take an eye opening event of this magnitude to plant the seed in the mind and in the hearts of the Jamaican children to be like Usain Bolt and compete in both Summer and Winter Olympic Events!

 

 

3) Did we mention he is the fastest man alive?!

There is no one person on this planet that is faster than him.  He has to race jaguars and cheetahs to get some competition!

 2) The Usain Bolt Story

Many athletes write books and have speaking engagements about their career and their life... but I wouldn't pay for much of any of them. If Usain Bolt, the fastest man alive, were to take on a challenge like the Winter Olympic, he would become A New York Best Selling Author.  It is rumored that Bill Clinton makes 1,000,000 dollars per speaking engagement...oh man.  Usain Bolt would command twice that!!  His career could go on forever, he will become a billionaire athlete by 2015.

1) Endorsement and Sponsorships

Let's be honest, money makes the world go round...and money talks.  Any company would KILL to have Usain Bolt wear their logo and endorse their products.  The fact that Usain Bolt would be competing in olympic events every two years and in opposite climates, and which targets different target audience is a marketing DREAM!  You would have sponsors begging to be involved with Usain Bolt.  He would able to endorse every product under the sun.  You would see The Offical Toothbrush of Usain Bolt, and you would see The Muffler Prefered by Usain Bolt, and it would not even be a stretch to see Usain Bolt branded iPods! Oh...can you imagine... Is Usain Bolt a PC? or is he a Mac?
